The College Talk Show is a fast-paced, late-night-inspired show focused on making college admissions more approachable. Each episode has a specific theme, and your interview will connect directly to that topic.

This is not a scripted Q&A—it’s a relaxed, engaging conversation, and your segment will be professionally edited to create a polished, dynamic final product.

What to Expect

Before the Show:

  • You’ll receive an email confirming the recording date, time, and key details.
  • Your segment will connect to the theme of the episode, ensuring a relevant and insightful discussion.

During the Interview:

  • The conversation will be natural and unscripted—guided by key topics related to the episode’s theme.
  • The interview will be professionally edited, so you don’t need to worry about mistakes.
  • If relevant, you’ll have a chance to mention a book, research, or project.

After the Show:

  • The episode will be taped and released at a later date.
  • Once it’s released, you’ll receive a professionally edited clip of your segment for personal use and promotion.
  • Your episode will be released on The College Talk Show’s YouTube channel and promoted on social media (if applicable).

You’ve already specified your recording format when you booked your date.

  • If you’d like to change your format, please provide at least several days’ notice to allow for proper setup and scheduling.
  • The recording format is designed to ensure a smooth experience and high production quality, regardless of how you participate.

Option 1: In-Person at Chris's Studio (Boulder, CO)

  • Location: Chris’s home-office studio in Boulder, CO.
  • Parking: Available in the driveway for easy access.
  • Mic Setup: A clip-on microphone will be used for clear, professional audio.
  • The Experience:
    • The studio is comfortable, well-lit, and designed to make you look great on camera.
    • You’ll sit in the red chair, get mic’d up, and within minutes, the conversation will flow naturally.

Option 2: Zoom from Anywhere

  • Your Zoom feed will appear on a studio monitor for a seamless, professional look.
  • Use a quiet, well-lit space with minimal background noise.
  • A high-quality microphone and camera are recommended for the best results.
  • No need to worry about tech—just log in, and the conversation will flow naturally!
